Integra Credit vs Avant: Full Comparison
Avant is dramatically cheaper than Integra Credit for any borrower who qualifies. Always check Avant first if your FICO is 580+ and you need $2,000 or more.
APR Disclosure
Integra Credit personal loans and lines of credit carry triple-digit APRs (99%–399%) that vary by state and product. These are high-cost credit products designed for borrowers who do not qualify for traditional bank financing. Before applying, confirm you cannot access a lower-cost alternative such as a credit union personal loan, a secured credit card, or employer-based pay advance. Loan amounts, rates, and terms depend on state law and credit review.

Honest take: Avant is in a different league — if you qualify
Avant serves fair-credit borrowers with APRs starting under 10% and capping at 35.99%. Minimum loan is $2,000 and maximum is $35,000. This is a mainstream personal lender, not a subprime one. Integra and Avant barely compete — they serve different borrower segments.
When Avant is the better choice
- Your FICO is 580 or higher — try Avant first, nearly always
- You need a loan of $2,000 or more
- You want a longer term (up to 60 months)
- Any situation where you might qualify for an APR below 36%
When Integra Credit is the right choice
- You have been declined by Avant, OppLoans, and NetCredit
- Your FICO is below 550 or you have no credit history
- You need less than $2,000 (Avant's minimum)
- You need funds within 1–2 business days and cannot wait for Avant's verification
Credit reporting difference
Avant reports to all three major credit bureaus. Integra reports only to TransUnion. For credit building, Avant is substantially stronger.
The huge APR gap
A $2,500 loan over 24 months at Avant's 15% APR would total around $2,900 in repayment. The same loan at Integra's 199% APR would total around $5,800. That is nearly $3,000 extra for the same money — always worth checking Avant first.

These lenders serve different borrowers
Most lender comparisons weigh two similar products. This one does not. Avant is a near-prime lender and Integra Credit is a deep-subprime lender. The relevant question is not which is better — Avant is obviously cheaper — but whether you qualify for Avant at all.

Representative mid-range APRs for illustration. Avant’s range is 9.95%–35.99%; Integra’s is 99%–399%. Actual rates are set per applicant.
The Integra loan costs roughly eight times more in interest. There is no borrower for whom that is a good trade if Avant is available to them.
The qualification gap
Avant's requirements
Avant publishes a minimum FICO around 580 and reports that most approved borrowers fall between 600 and 700. It also looks at debt-to-income ratio and wants to see a reasonably established credit file. Recent bankruptcies, active charge-offs, or very thin files generally result in a decline.
Integra's requirements
Integra publishes no minimum score and approves well below 580. Income verification matters more than the score. This is why it exists: to serve people Avant turns away.
If your score is 580 or above, apply to Avant. If it is meaningfully below, Avant will likely decline and Integra becomes a real option.
Loan size
Avant lends $2,000–$35,000 against Integra's $500–$3,000. Avant's $2,000 floor means it cannot serve small borrowing needs at all — a borrower needing $700 cannot use Avant.
Term length
Avant offers 24–60 months. At Avant's rates, a longer term is far less punishing than at Integra's, because the interest accruing over those extra months is an order of magnitude smaller.
Fees
Avant charges an administration fee of up to 4.75%, deducted from the loan proceeds. Integra charges none. On a $2,000 loan, Avant's fee is up to $95 — which, set against the $1,887 interest saving calculated above, is not a reason to choose Integra.
Neither charges a prepayment penalty.

Where Integra Credit wins
There are exactly three situations:
- Avant declined you. Below roughly 580 FICO this is the common outcome, and Integra becomes a legitimate option.
- You need less than $2,000. Avant's minimum excludes small borrowing; Integra starts at $500.
- You need revolving credit. Avant offers installment loans only; Integra has a line of credit product.
Outside those three cases, choosing Integra over Avant means paying roughly eight times the interest for the same money.
If Avant declines you
Do not go straight to Integra. The ladder between them has rungs worth trying:
- Credit union Payday Alternative Loan — capped at 28% APR by federal rule, requires membership
- NetCredit — 34%–155% APR, serves damaged-but-established credit
- OppLoans — 59%–195% APR, deep subprime with full three-bureau reporting
- Integra Credit — 99%–399% APR, widest credit box, one-bureau reporting
Each rung down costs meaningfully more. Our approval odds checker estimates where you land without a credit pull, and our alternatives page covers all seven options in detail.
